When a pipe lets go in a busy Tralee house, rental or shop, every minute counts. Tell us what has happened and where you are, and we’ll pass your details to a local plumber. Call Call 089 981 9010 or use the enquiry form.
First, limit the damage
- Shut off the water at the stopcock, or at the main valve if you can’t find the one inside.
- Turn off the power to any room where water is near sockets, lights or appliances.
- Open the cold taps to drain the pipes, and flush the toilet to empty the cistern.
- Take photos of the damage before you clear up, in case you need them for insurance.
Emergencies a plumber can help with
- Burst pipes and sudden leaks
- No water, or very low pressure across the house
- Leaking or overflowing tanks and cylinders
- Toilets and drains backing up
- Heating that has stopped completely in cold weather
Landlords and rental properties
Tralee has a large number of rented homes, including houses and apartments let to students and families. If you manage one, tell us when you get in touch whether tenants are in, who has the keys and how the plumber can get access. It saves time on the day.
Shops, pubs and other businesses
A plumbing problem can close a business for the day. If the problem is at a shop, restaurant, pub or office, say so, and tell us the hours you can give access.
What happens next
- You contact us with what’s wrong and the address.
- We pass your details to a local plumber covering your area.

Plumbing work is carried out by independent local plumbers, not by us. Ask for a price before work starts.
